When a student starts an exercise, costs (usage fees) are incurred for it, so explicit approval by the school in the XRNAUT SchoolPortal is required to start it. The following conditions must be met in order to start an exercise:
- The simulator must be logged into the XRNAUT SchoolPortal.
- A participant must be logged in
- The registered participant must be enrolled in at least one course, which contains at least one lesson
- The logged in participant must be assigned to at least one active session
- The active session of the participant must have been selected in the simulator.
If only one of these conditions does not apply, it is not possible to start exercises (and thus incur costs). Point 4 also means: Only when a session is activated, participants can access the content of their courses.
The activation can be done in two ways:
- Explicit activation: The session to be activated is selected and immediately activated by clicking on "Immediate activation".
- Automatic activation: A date is set for the session (start and end time) and the "Auto activation" button is set to "On". In this case, the session will be activated automatically in the set period when the simulator requests it. (It will not be activated if it is only displayed in XRNAUT SchoolPortal). Auto-activation makes it possible to organize events completely in advance (participants, content, time) - The system is then automatically ready for use when the event starts.
Please note: When a session is inactivated (manually or automatically), a running exercise is interrupted with the next billing interval. The simulator then returns to the login screen.
