Frequently asked questions

What are the technical requirements for the simulator?
An operational system consists of the following technical components: HTC VIVE PRO 2 (Full Kit) VR system. Alternatively: HTC VIVE Focus Vision with Wired Streaming Kit. PC/laptop that meets the system requirements for SteamVR applications for the VIVE. A screen to display the simulation for participants/instructors. An approx. 1x1 m floor panel for mounting the simulator. An internet connection (Wi-Fi, LAN, mobile). A credit card (for billing consumption).
How is delivery carried out and what delivery times can be expected?
We deliver our control console throughout Europe via a shipping company. Delivery time is usually 6-8 weeks from the date of order. Delivery costs range from €100 to €250, depending on the distance. Exact delivery costs will be calculated in the quote.
Can I earn money with the simulator?
Yes. Our commercial software licenses allow use for training purposes or rental.
How can I test the simulator?
For a product demonstration, please make an appointment with contact@xrnaut.com. We generally conduct demonstrations in the Cologne/Bonn area.
Do I need the control console?
The control console is essential for effective training, as participants would otherwise have no way of steering the ship in VR. Only the combination of control console and VR enables practical training. Nevertheless, the simulator can also be operated on a PC (without VR and without hardware), e.g. to familiarize yourself with the training units or to mark up images or videos.
