Description
Moor the yacht alongside the exposed jetty. Experiment with the different sides of the jetty to better understand the effects of environmental conditions.
Challenges and possible solutions:
This exercise is not entirely straightforward, so do not be discouraged if it does not work on the first attempt. The dolphin at the head of the jetty can cause significant damage. Avoid contact with it. This exercise also involves assessing the situation and planning the maneuver. There is considerable freedom, which should be utilized to make it as easy as possible.
Suggestion: Keep the environmental conditions constant and perform maneuvers on both sides. Make a note of the differences and problems that arise in each combination.
The aim of the exercise is not to practice difficult maneuvers, but to recognize when situations are difficult and when they are easy, and to consciously decide on a solution.
